Custom made coffee table

I’ve just finished making this huge rustic coffee table for a customer who had seen a similar one in the Timothy Oulton shop in London.

My brief was to make something similar using reclaimed oak beams with large dovetail joints and with a finished dry patina.

All of the reclaimed oak is English and at least 300 years old, there’s so much character in this bespoke piece of furniture which you only get with authentic reclaimed timber.

Rustic Coffee Tables and custom made furniture.

I’ve been working on a huge custom made coffee table for a customer in Milton Keynes for the last few weeks, It’s almost ready for collection and I’ll post some photos of the finished piece as soon as I can.

It has large dovetail joints and is made from reclaimed english oaks beams that have proved challenging both physically and mentally due to their size and weight! It’ll be a statement piece of furniture for my client’s living room and I’m looking forward to seeing it instu.

Rustic Stools & Side Tables

I have a a good selection of rustic stools and side tables in my furniture showroom at the moment.

I am able to send these items out with a courier if you’re not local to Romsey, the majority of my furniture will need collecting due to its size and weight.

I’m currently working on a project to replicate a large rustic coffee table that my customer has seen in the Timothy Oulton shop in London, This is going to involve a huge amount of rustic reclaimed oak beams that make up the design of the table, I’m lucky enough to live less than a mile from a good reclaimation yard where I’ve sourced the materials, now for a couple of days worth of hand sawing and heavy lifting!

In the pipeline I’ll be making a long very rustic console table and hopefully a custom made dining table for the spring shoppers!

Rustic Console Table

I’ve just finished making this rustic console table.

I was lucky enough to get hold of this lovely old timber that came out of The River Test, it has been in the water for years which has caused this riven surface which I’ve kept intact.

This Console Table measures 150 cm wide and can be used in a multitude of rooms, it’ll work nicely as a kitchen unit, in a Hallway with baskets sitting on the shelves and to keep shoes tidy, as a TV unit in your lounge or even in a large bathroom to house towels and toiletries.

I’ve finished this rustic console table in a clear wax which gives a subtle non shiny sheen to this one off piece of furniture, the top and shelves are removable which is helpful as this item is heavy!

I do have a small amount of these river boards left if you would like a custom piece of furniture made.

Custom made Compartment Box

I was asked to make a rustic oak box with four compartments for a customer in Liverpool.

This was something different from what I usually make, but very enjoyable and I was really pleased with the end result.

I used Tiger Oak for this box and finished it in a clear wax to bring out the lovely markings in the grain, it was then sent via courier to Liverpool.
