There will be the much requested Reclaimed oak door stops with the rope handles and a varied range of chopping boards with don’t hang around for long!

Other items that will be on display include chest boxes, oak benches, side tables, coffee tables, a quirky chair and pedestals.

Stockbridge high street is full of great places to eat and offers free parking, there are a variety of independent shops to support and visit too.

We look forward to seeing you during our 5 days in the Town Hall.

Vintage Outboard Motor Stand

I was asked by a customer of mine if I could make a stand for his Fathers vintage Outboard motor which has great sentimental value to the family.

I mounted it on a heavy slab of rustic english oak and built an A frame out of oak with traditional halving joints and dowels, then attached the clamp from the outboard onto the frame.

The Oak was finished with a wax and the whole stand with the Outboard looks great and works really well as an unusual way to display a treasured piece of memorabilia.

Chopping Boards

I have a new range of Chopping Boards on my website, with Christmas coming up these are always popular.

The Oak I use to make these Chopping boards is sustainably grown in Scotland.

Finished with a food safe Chestnut oil and made with a handle that you can hang the boards up with, they make a useful gift for someone who loves to cook or bake.

I have a ever changing selection of gifts and furniture available in my showroom / shop which is located off the Test way footpath in Dunbridge,  Hampshire,  from Door Stops to Dining tables to Chest Boxes, my workshop is next door to the shop so you are welcome to pop over and see what I’m up to.

This Rustic Oak Coffee Table is my all time favourite piece of furniture that I've ever made!Rustic Oak Coffee table

The absolutely huge slab of Oak was on a marina in Hayling island, Hampshire for decades, being battered by the elements it has the most incredible patina and colour.

We managed to buy it off the owner and using a forklift truck to move it got in the van to take it to safety!

After leaving it to dry during the summer we then had it milled in half thickness wise as it was just too heavy to move, a day spent scraping the old mud and decay off exposed the most beautiful textured surface and stunning patterns in the grain.

It has been estimated that the tree would've been 400 yrs old, It's been standing on the boat yard for up to 50 years.

I made a base for it using reclaimed Chestnut beams, the Coffee table is a triangular shape and I wanted the legs to splay out at two angles which was hugely time consuming and tricky, but it looks fantastic!

The Oak coffee table has a solid oak shelf underneath to hide magazine's and newspapers, and finished in a natural wax to nourish and enhance this ancient old timber, this is the ultimate statement piece of furniture and whoever gets to own it will be very lucky indeed!

It'll be available on my website soon, If you would like to come and view it please get in touch.

Rustic Oak Coffee Table

Inbetween commission’s I’ve been making some gift idea’s in time for Christmas.

This week it’s Door Stops!

Using reclaimed Oak beams, I’ve been hand cutting and sanding the old Oak into chunky sections ready to attach a thick rope handle for ease of moving.

These always sell quickly and are a lovely gift idea.

Along with a new selection of Chopping Boards and Serving boards these will all be available soon through my website.

Our showroom / shop is open daily if you would like to pop in and have a browse.

This Bespoke English Oak Dining Table has just gone to its new home in Malborough.

Using reclaimed Oak beams from Bognor Pier as the legs, and a whole slab of Oak for the top, this beautiful Dining Table is a one off which will last for many generations.

My customer wanted the Reclaimed Oak legs to be inset into the side of the table top, instead of the usual method of making a separate base.

Finished with a clear wax to enhance the grain and character of the timber, it also gives the wood a soft sheen.

There is a video on my Instagram page of the table before the finish was applied.

Please get in touch with me if you would like to discuss having a custom dining table made, or any other piece of furniture

Our showroom is open day for you to get inspiration and pick up gifts or items of handmade furniture.

I have just finished this two seater Oak Lounge Chair, crafted using reclaimed english oak, ash and chestnut and finished with a nourishing wax to protect and enhance the character of this old wood, this is a beautiful timeless piece of furniture that is solidly made in a traditional style.

Comfortably seating two, this rustic bench / seat will look fantastic in a large hallway of lounge, it’s a statement piece that is a one off design.

I’ll be taking it to our monthly outing at Stockbridge Town Hall on Sunday

the 3rd of October,  it is also available to view in our showroom in Dunbridge which is open daily from 10 am.

Made to order Oak Dining Table

I've just finished this Oak Dining Table for my customer in Farnham.  He wanted an Oak Table to seat 4 people, at 1 metre square.

I used beautiful reclaimed Chestnut beams for the base and Oak for the top. It was finished with a clear wax which enhanced the markings in the wood and gave it a soft sheen.

I can make any size Dining Table to suit your taste.   Please get in touch or pop over to my workshop and showroom if you'd like to discuss a comission piece.
